Ingredients

  • 500 grams rump steak
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 pita pockets
  • Coleslaw or salad greens.
  • Mayonnaise, own choice

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onion, then mix with garlic, oil, cinnamon, allspice and soy sauce.
  2. Cut beef into cubes and place into a dish and coat with the above mix. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 mins or overnight if prefer.
  3. Heat BBQ hot plate or shallow frying pan and cook until brown and cooked to your taste.
  4. Stuff into toasted pita pockets with the mayonnaise and salad greens or coleslaw and enjoy.
