Ordering & Availability
How do I register and place an order with Four Square NOW!?
Download the Four Square NOW! app from the App Store or Google Play store, complete the registration and start adding items to your cart. When you’re ready, review your cart and place your order.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver to selected North Island locations. Enter your address in the Four Square NOW! app to see if we deliver to your area.
Is there a minimum order value?
There’s a minimum spend of $25 per order (excluding service fees) and a flat $9 delivery fee.
Is there a limit on the number of items I can order?
No, you can order as many items as you like.
Why am I seeing an estimated total on my order?
The final value of your order may differ from the estimated total. Items in your order are charged at the price applicable at the time you submit your order or any subsequent order amends, except in the following cases:
- When an item is out of stock – you won’t be charged for that item.
- If we substitute an item – you'll be charged an equal or lower price than the price of the original item.
- Variable weight products – when we pack your order, we weigh the items and charge the price per kilo at the time you ordered for the exact weight supplied.
Delivery & Timing
How fast will my order arrive?
We aim to be at your door in about 45 minutes or less!
Can I choose a specific delivery window?
No, orders are delivered as soon as they’re packed to keep your groceries as fresh as possible.
How do I track my order?
Track your order in the Four Square NOW! app. You’ll also get a text when your driver is on the way, with a link to follow their progress on a map.
What if my order is late?
Track your order in the Four Square NOW! app. If you’re concerned, call us on 0800 FOUR SQUARE (0800 477 827).
Do you deliver early or late at night?
Delivery hours may differ between stores. Check the Four Square NOW! app to see if your store is open and available for delivery.
What if I’m not home when my order arrives?
If there are no restricted items (eg, alcohol) in your order, we can leave your order at your door or somewhere safe. The driver will take a photo as proof of delivery.
If there are restricted items in your order, the driver must return the full order to the store. Your order will be refunded minus the delivery fee.
Pricing & Payment
What are your service fees?
We have a minimum spend of $25 and a $9 service fee.
What payments do you take?
You can pay either by credit or debit card - Visa or Mastercard.
What happens if my payment doesn’t go through?
We’ll email you and send a text message if your payment doesn’t go through. You will also be able to update your payment via the Four Square NOW! app. Please fix the issue quickly and retry before the driver arrives. If payment isn’t successful by then, your order may be cancelled.
How do I use a promo code?
Enter it in the promo box at checkout before paying.
Why are prices different on the Four Square NOW! app?
Four Square NOW! may have higher prices for groceries than the in-store or advertised Four Square prices. This pricing increase is to cover various costs including the costs of picking groceries and administrative fees. Any in-store or advertised grocery prices for Four Square, will not be available through Four Square NOW!
Products & Substitutions
What if something I ordered isn’t available?
Before you complete your order, you can let us know if you are happy to receive substitutions. If we substitute an item, you’ll only be charged the same or lower price than the one you originally selected. Otherwise, if we can’t supply the original item, you won’t receive a replacement.
If I accept substitutions, what price will I be charged for the items that have been substituted?
If a product you have ordered is not available, we will try to substitute it with a similar product of equal or higher quality. You’ll only be charged the same or lower price than the one you originally selected.
Can I buy alcohol?
Alcohol is available for customers aged 18 years and over. Please note it is illegal to make a false declaration of age in order to purchase alcohol and someone aged 18 years or over needs to receive the order. A proof of ID will be required.
What happens if I order alcohol and don’t have ID?
Our drivers are under strict instructions to ensure an acceptable ID is presented if they are delivering alcohol.
If an acceptable ID is not presented, our driver has to return the entire order to the store. If this happens you will be refunded the amount of the order less the delivery fee.

What if I haven’t received all of the items I’ve ordered, or I’m not happy with what’s been delivered?

Can I cancel or change my order?
Because we start packing your order as soon as we get it, we’re not able to make changes or cancellations.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds go back on the card you paid with, timing is dependent on your bank. It can take between 5-7 business days.
What if the driver can’t find my place?
Make sure your delivery notes are clear e.g. “down the long driveway, blue fence”. The driver might give you a quick call too.
