Cheeseburger Skewers
Here's to a hundy! We’re serving up these Mini Burger Skewers for a delicious grab-and-go party snack. Did someone say easy peasy… cheesy?
Ingredients
Method
-
250g beef mince
-
5 slices Pams Value sliced white bread
-
50g Pams Tasty Cheese, thinly sliced
-
¼ cup Pams tomato sauce
-
10 slices gherkins (about ⅓ cup worth) (optional)
-
10 small bamboo skewers or toothpicks
-
Add the beef mince to a small bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix together using your hands to incorporate the seasoning. Divide the beef into 10 portions, roll them into balls then flatten slightly into small patties.
-
Heat a drizzle of neutral oil in a medium, non-stick frying pan on medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Toast the sliced bread in a toaster, until golden. Trim the crusts off the toast, then cut the toast into small squares roughly 4 cm.
-
Cut the cheese into pieces small enough to top the patties.
-
Place 10 squares of toast onto a chopping board. Dollop about ½ teaspoon of tomato sauce on each piece of toast. Top with the beef patties, cheese and gherkins. Sandwich another square of toast on top, then carefully poke the skewers or toothpicks through to the base.
-
Serve.
